Yesterday, we spent a delightful afternoon with the students at a private school, performing and talking about European culture.

Headmaster, James Anderson and his wife Lesi, energetically direct this very focused and purpose-filled school.  They shared valuable insights with us from their extensive experience in education all over the world.  A timely and enriching experience for us all.

The Highländlers was one of the 33 international folk dance teams competing in Valdosta, Georgia on Saturday. We were amazed as our names were called out again and again, to receive top awards in all 3 categories of this very challenging competition:

Youth division:  1st and 2nd place winners (Sicilian and Scottish)

Adult small group:  1st place winners (Scottish)

Adult large group:  2nd and 4th place winners (Scottish and Bavarian)

The air bristled with excitement, as hundreds of beautifully costumed people shared diverse cultures together through music, dance, handwork, language, and wonderful cuisine.

There sure are a lot of precious, beautiful people in this world!!!
